Alright, well, since my good friend Kyle INSISTED that I post these now, I guess I will!

Skyward Sword Valentine’s Cards! I’ve seen a lot of cards going around, of course, and I wanted to try some myself. So here we have Zelda, Link, Groose, Ghirahim, and Machi the Kikwi. I might possibly do some more with other characters because these were too fun. ;u;

(And I’ll get to doing some REAL art soon, I promise klsdjlksdjklj)

In early October, 2010, the ancient pagan tradition of Druidry was, for the first time, formally classed as a religion in Britain. The legal significance of this new status for those who today call themselves Druids is considerable: they can, for instance, receive exemptions from taxes on donations. The spiritual significance, meanwhile — of having one’s religion recognized on a par with, say, the Church of England after years of living on the very margins of Europe’s great faiths — can hardly be overstated.

life:

Ten years ago, in the immediate aftermath of September 11, 2001, Joe McNally — LIFE magazine’s last-ever staff photographer — wondered how he might commemorate not only the victims of the terror attacks, but the survivors he saw working day after day, night after night, at Ground Zero. From that wrenching question, his monumental Faces of Ground Zero project was born.

abcworldnews:

ABC’s @jaketapper reports:  President Obama will today lay a wreath at the “Survivor Tree,” a callery pear tree found in the wreckage of the World Trade Center plaza, nursed back to health, and planted at the 9/11 Memorial Plaza at ground zero in December.

The tree, originally planted at the WTC complex more than 30 years ago, has tremendous symbolic value for many New Yorkers.  Taken to the Parks Department’s Arthur Ross Nursery in Van Cortlandt Park, the tree was barely alive in 2001.

It was then only around eight feet tall. Most of it had been destroyed. It was twisted and charred.  Parks Department workers nursed it back to health; it now stands more than 35 feet.
